After many years of doing research in neuroscience and cognitive science, I decided to change my career and become a medical writer. I recently worked for Lockheed-Martin on the National Cancer Institute contract, where I had to do research on new cancer drugs, and then write definitions in 7th-grade-level prose to be posted on cancer.gov.
In October 2007, I completed the American Medical Writer’s Association (AMWA) Core Certification program in medical writing for pharmaceutical companies, which included classes on writing clinical study reports, filing INDAs and reporting clinical trials. To read more, please click here.
